Virtual Exchange Community of Practice
Affiliation: Working group for faculty, staff, and administrators
The Virtual Exchange Community of Practice is open to faculty, staff, and administrators at IU Indianapolis or regional campuses who are currently integrating virtual exchange in courses or programs or who would like to explore virtual exchange.
Virtual exchange, also called Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), is a teaching method that uses technology to connect people in different countries to facilitate intercultural and global learning. Virtual exchange has been shown to be an effective way to internationalize the curriculum, providing low-cost, high-impact, and project-based global learning at home.
VECoP is supported by IU Indianapolis’s Office of International Affairs and Institute for Engaged Learning.
