J-1 Scholars
As a program sponsor, Indiana University Indianapolis is able to bring professors, research scholars, short term scholars, specialists and student interns from around the world to engage in educational activities. J1 exchange visitors come to IU Indianapolis on this program to help the University meet its teaching, research and service mission.
The Office of International Affairs International Scholar Advising team assists IU Indianapolis schools in bringing international professors, researchers, staff and visitors for teaching, research, lectures or conferences. Each year, approximately 600 international scholars and accompanying family members representing over 50 countries are affiliated with the IU Indianapolis community and engaged in research and teaching activities in more than 10 IU Indy schools.
The Office of International Affairs is a resource for you throughout your J-1 program. Whether you are applying for a visa or you are already on campus, you can ask us any questions you have. We will do our best to help you.
